Vehicle Body Builder / Vehicle Accessory Fitter needed – Full-Time position
Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company, we specialise in building customised, engineered vehicle solutions for a range of government and private clients including Ambulance service, Police, Disability access, Fire and Rescue, retirement & nursing homes, special needs schools and many more.
We are currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Body Builders / Vehicle Accessory Fitter to work in our production in Ravenhall, VIC.
New dynamic company building the latest emergency and specialised vehicles. Work is clean in contemporary facility and involves significant vehicle conversions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Work with a team to manufacture a wide range of purpose-built vehicles
- Type of projects include, Emergency Service, Rescue vehicles, Defence vehicles.
- Assembly and fitting of vehicle accessories such as side steps, seating, flooring, handrails, cabnitery.
- Depending on your experience your tasks can range from vehicle modifications, fabrication and welding to accessory fitting,
- Vehicle conversions from OEM to specialised.
- Assist in the repairs and maintenance of products
The successful candidate will need to be motivated, self-driven, reliable, and committed.
You will work well within a team and have a high attention to detail with a positive 'can do' attitude.
Amtek's preferred candidate will have;
- Qualification and experience in Vehicle Body Building / Manufacturing and/or relevant industry experience 5 years plus preferred
- High knowledge and ability with general labour tasks
- Can use a range of equipment and machinery
- Welding and or Fabrication experience highly preferred
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality workmanship.
- Strong work ethic, working well independently whilst being part of a team.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
