Meowhaus is a boarding cattery located in the heart of Brunswick. We’re on the hunt for a casual animal attendant to join our team. We’re looking for a reliable, committed, hard worker who loves animals and is great at charming their humans too!
In a typical day, the role involves:
- feeding and cleaning out the cats.
- administering medications.
- giving individual time to each guest and monitoring for behavioural issues, health changes etc.
- assisting our clients with check ins/outs.
- fielding booking enquiries.
- keeping the place looking pretty.
- standard shift hours are usually 8am-6pm.
As a candidate, you’ll be:
- confident with cats. Relevant study/workplace experience is required.
- available for an immediate start, and with no leave booked over late Dec/Jan.
- willing to work 9-18 hours a week, with the potential for more during peak periods/to cover staff leave.
- available for weekend work, and flexibility to take on different/extra days during peak periods would be a huge plus! Would suit uni students.
- looking for ongoing, long-term work (we want our guests and their humans to recognise and trust us, so we keep the team small. Permanent residents only - sorry!) .
- great at motivating yourself and prioritising what needs doing each day (in quieter times, you’ll be working solo – just you and a bunch of cats. It’s not for everyone, but those that get it, get it!).
- fabulous at customer service. It's not enough to just be fluent in cat.
- physically fit. This role involves long shifts, on your feet, doing a lot of cleaning.
- located within 15kms of Brunswick.

Pay: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour
