Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Fertility Nurse to join our Public Fertility Care Team.
Northern Health has partnerred with The Women's to deliver Public Fertility Care (PFC) services to Victorians since 2023. We are now a well established service providing comprehensive, person-centred fertility care to eligibile patients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a fertility nurse who shares the values and purpose of Northern Health and the PFC to join our expanding team.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
As a Fertility Nurse, you will play a key role in coordinating and providing high-quality nursing care and treatment to all patients. With a commitment to exceptional, compassionate care you will make a meaningful impact on each patient's experience. You will also privide clear information, education and ongoing support to patients during and after fertility treatments.
To be successful in this role you will be sensitive to the needs of our patients and will support their wellbeing through timeley and considered communicaiton. Ideally you will bring the following:
- Current RN and/or RM registration with AHPRA
- Experience in IVF/Fertility nursing
- Competency in phlebotomy and ultrasound scanning (highly desireable)
- A compassionate, patient centred approach to supporting individuals on their fertility journey
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong organisational and multi tasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communicaiton skills
- Commitment to working effectively within a multidisciplinary team and across departments
- Willingess to embrace Norther Health's core values: Safe, Kind, Together
