The Vice-Chancellor’s Office (VCO) at UOW plays a central role in driving strategic alignment, supporting the University’s executive, and streamlining governance and policy across its global and regional campuses. The Governance and Policy Division, within the VCO, provides institutional governance services that enable informed decision-making and ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements. The team collaborates across faculties and divisions to promote governance best practice, facilitate high-quality reporting, and support a culture of accountability, integrity, and strategic delivery.
The Senior Institutional Governance Specialist provides high-level governance advice and executive support to the University Executive, Council, and key decision-making committees. The role includes committee coordination, preparation of governance reports and briefings, and analysis of data to inform decisions. The ideal candidate is autonomous, adaptable, and experienced in executive-level support, able to navigate a high-volume, quick-paced environment,
and collaborate effectively with a diverse, close-knit team. The position focuses on corporate and executive governance, supporting the University’s leaders to deliver robust, efficient, and compliant governance outcomes.
