About the Role:
Step into a pivotal operations role with one of Australia’s leading bus operators.
CDC’s Charter division is seeking a dynamic, passionate and self-motivated Charter Global Allocator to join our team.
In this full-time role, you’ll report to the Charter Operations Manager and play a key part in ensuring the efficient and effective allocation of charter services across all CDC Charter and Contract Depots. You’ll work closely with reservations, manage driver fatigue, coordinate contractors and help ensure we deliver safe, reliable and high-quality charter services every day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain charter allocations, ensuring drivers are assigned correctly and in line with fatigue and payroll requirements
- Maximise utilisation of drivers and buses by managing allocations across the whole network
- Review subcontractor invoices and confirm work is completed on time and to CDC standards
- Work with reservations to manage charter volumes and allocate work to appropriate depots
- Coordinate with charter and route depots to ensure full coverage of all services
- Communicate daily with the Charter Operations Manager and collaborate with other sites
- Ensure overtime is used effectively to support operational efficiency
- Ensure rosters are built and maintained accurately for all charter contracts
- Work with reservations and drivers to confirm charter sheets are correct
- Assist with rostering for special events and rail replacement services
- Support fleet requirements by liaising with Engineering and depots
- Perform driving duties as required
- Undertake additional duties as needed
About You:
- Experience leading teams and managing operational resources
- Ability to understand how service delivery impacts contractual KPIs
- Robust ability to interpret policies, procedures and operational reports
- Confident managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Qualification and accreditations:
- Working With Children Check
- Knowledge of the bus or transport industry (preferred)
- The following are highly regarded (but not essential):
- Certificate of Transport Management (CTM)
- Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence
- Public Passenger Driver Authority
