Position description
We seek an enthusiastic Full-time Support Services (laboratory aide) to join our vibrant Cytology department in Macquarie Park.
Rotating shifts are rostered Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm, 4:30pm and 5:30 pm with the latest shift finishing at 1:30 am. Some Saturday work may be required (Saturday: midday to 7 pm).
You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:
- Unpacking and preparation of cytology specimens
- computer entry
- sorting and labelling of slides and general laboratory maintenance
Ideal candidate
We are proud to say we have a learning and supportive environment, and full training will be provided. We are looking for the following:
- Tertiary level of studies in Science
- Possess excellent communication skills, a good telephone manner is key
- Able to maintain attention to detail with speed and accuracy, whilst working in a fast paced laboratory
- Own transport is essential
