The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced float legal secretary to join the team on a full-time basis. Based in our Sydney CBD office, this role provides the prospect to work with and support a variety of practice groups in person across our Sydney offices and remotely to our national offices as required with key duties including:
- Daily reception cover
- Diary management
- File maintenance
- Preparing legal documents
- Billing and client reporting
- Opening and closing files
- General administrative duties
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced legal secretary with exposure to a variety of different areas of law. In addition to this, you will ideally have:
- A minimum 2 years' legal secretary experience
- Previous experience in a float position (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience supporting fee earners at all levels
- Experience using iManage and Aderant (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Excellent client service skills
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Ability to draft correspondence and documents; and
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
