Job Title: Senior Network Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Architecture:
- Design and implement complex network solutions, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud-based networks.
- Develop scalable and secure network architectures to meet business and client requirements.
- Conduct network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
Implementation and Deployment:
- Lead the deployment and configuration of network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems to modern network infrastructures.
- Ensure seamless integration of network solutions with existing IT systems.
Network Security:
- Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption protocols.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies.
Troubleshooting and Optimization:
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to support business growth.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Client Engagement and Consulting:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored network solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic guidance on emerging technologies and best practices.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and documentation for clients.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers and consultants.
- Lead project teams and ensure timely delivery of network solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and processes.
- Generate reports on network performance, security, and project progress for stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba) and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for network management.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
Additional Requirements:
Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance (NV1).This requirement ensures that all team members are cleared to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.
Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week
