About the Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is seeking a dedicated Antenatal Shared Care Liaison Midwife to lead and coordinate our Antenatal Shared Care Program. This pivotal role will see you working closely with women, carers, clinicians, and GP Shared Care practitioners to ensure safe, high-quality, and culturally responsive antenatal care. You will act as a key resource and liaison, fostering strong partnerships between maternity services, general practitioners, and the South Western Sydney PHN to enhance continuity of care and improve women’s experiences during pregnancy. As part of our Women’s Health Clinical Stream, you will drive clinical governance, support professional development for GPs, and contribute to policy and guideline development. This is an exciting opportunity to influence service innovation and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in line with SWSLHD’s vision of Leading Care, Healthier Communities.

What You'll be Doing
The Antenatal Shared Care Liaison Midwife is responsible for the promotion and coordination of the antenatal shared care program within SWSLHD

- NSW Registered Midwife with 5 years post registration experience. Approved post-graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field and/or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation
- Can you share an example of how you have successfully coordinated or promoted an antenatal shared care program, and what strategies you used to engage both women and GP practitioners in the process?

- How would you foster effective communication and collaboration between maternity services, general practitioners, and the PHN to ensure continuity of care and improve the antenatal experience for women across diverse cultural backgrounds?
