About Us

Perth Scuba is Western Australia’s largest and most established dive store, proudly recognised as a PADI Career Development Centre. Based in Canning Vale, we are a thriving retail, training, and community hub for divers across the state.
We specialise in scuba education, retail sales, dive travel, equipment servicing, and community events – and we’re passionate about sharing the underwater world with every diver who walks through our doors.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated Retail Manager with strong sales experience to lead our retail team. A scuba diving background is highly preferred.

Position Overview

The Retail Manager plays a key leadership role within Perth Scuba, overseeing our retail showroom, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and driving sales across equipment, courses, and travel.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys people, and has a passion for diving and dive gear.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day operations of the retail showroom.

- Drive sales performance, customer engagement, and brand loyalty.

- Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations on scuba gear, accessories, and training options.

- Oversee merchandising, stock presentation, inventory levels, and ordering.

- Train, mentor, and support retail and customer-service staff.

- Manage customer enquiries in-store, via phone, and email.

- Support bookings for dive courses, local dives, and international travel.





- Work alongside instructors, service technicians, and management to ensure seamless customer experiences.

- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, store presentation, and safety.

- Participate in and occasionally coordinate in-store promotions and events.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

- Proven retail and sales experience, ideally in a supervisory or management role.

- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.

- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

- Confident communication skills – written and verbal.

- Proficient with computers, POS systems, and inventory processes.

- Must be an Australian resident for employment.

Highly Desirable:

- Scuba diving experience or certification (recreational or qualified).

- Previous work in the dive industry or specialist outdoor retail.

- Product knowledge of major dive brands such as Scubapro, Halcyon, Apeks, Suunto, etc.
