Peninsula Diesel Repairs is a local, family owned and operated business specialising in truck repairs and the maintenance of all heavy vehicle makes and models across Mornington Peninsula.
We operate from our Mornington workshop and manage the onsite workshop at Bluescope Steel in Hastings. Our team rotates between locations, offering excellent variety and exposure to a wide range of vehicles and repair challenges.
We pride ourselves in maintaining a supportive, professional workplace - with a 4 day work week designed to promote work-life balance, with every second weekend being a 4 day weekend.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. This role will suit someone with a strong background in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, who values quality workmanship, safety and teamwork.
Key Requirements
The successful applicant will:
- Hold a current trade certificate as a Diesel Mechanic
- Have extensive hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, including Japanese trucks
- Demonstrate a commitment to a Zero Harm work environment and treat safety as a priority
- Be capable of working unsupervised in a safe, productive and professional manner
- Perform tasks to a high standard of quality within set timeframes
- Be available for full-time work
Desirable Experience & Licences
It would be advantageous if you also hold one or more of the following:
- HV Roadworthy licence
- Bus Roadworthy licence
- Bus Annual Inspection licence
- Truck licence
