About the role
Due to company growth, we are seeking an experienced Estimator /Project Coordinator to join our friendly team in Townsville. This role is critical in ensuring accurate pricing, smooth project transitions, and robust collaboration across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate cost estimates and manage tender submissions
- Conduct final review and quality assurance of all quotes
- Design and implement quoting policies and procedures to boost efficiency
- Interface regularly with project teams, operations, and stakeholders
- Liaise regularly with operations teams, technicians, and administration to ensure smooth project handovers and clarity of requirements
- Monitor project progress post-award to ensure pricing assumptions and scope align with actual delivery
- Support the coordination of materials, subcontractors,
and scheduling as needed to ensure successful project delivery
Selection Criteria:
- At least 3 years’ experience in estimating, tender preparation, or estimating preferably within commercial maintenance or construction sector
- Strong knowledge of construction in order to raise questions and provide advice
- Proficient with email, Excel, estimating platforms such as BuildSoft, Bluebeam, or equivalent
- Highly developed communication and Interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail with a methodical and thorough approach to work
- Ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure
- A high degree of initiative, takes ownership of issues and demonstrates a "can do" attitude
- Be willing to undergo a Police Check and hold/be willing to obtain a Blue Card
- Trade qualification or construction project experience highly desirable
