The Administration Officer shall provide a high level of skilled and courteous customer service to patients and family members, whilst maintaining accurate patient records, monitoring workflows relating to patient admissions, transfers and discharges and monitoring own source revenue opportunities.

About your opportunity:

In this position the Emergency Department Administration Officer is responsible for providing and maintaining a highly responsive and effective administration support and customer service functions,



supporting clinical staff to ensure services meet current and future clinical needs, enabling the department to meet service demands and challenges.

About your role:

- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Attend to presenting patients, family members, general public, police and ambulance by providing information and direction to relevant areas.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service by responding to general reception enquiries for the department by answering all incoming telephone calls and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff.
