We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join a team in Brunswick, supporting the not-for-profit sector. This role is perfect for someone looking to work 4 days per week on a permanent basis

Description
- Process end-to-end payroll for staff ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Handle payroll queries and provide exceptional support to staff members.
- Prepare and process superannuation contributions and other statutory obligations.
- Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations for the Accounting & Finance department.
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and tax regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll processes and systems.
- Stay updated on legislative changes impacting payroll practices.
- 4 day (0.8 FTE)
Permanent role
Profile
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- A strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector is highly regarded but not essential.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and accounting software. (Employment Hero preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively and work within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to address queries and liaise with internal stakeholders.
