About the Role
We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a 3+ PAE personal injury solicitor to join our plaintiff firm in our Sydney office. This role offers the chance to build a strong foundation in personal injury law while making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives.
The majority of your work will be workers compensation but there is opportunity to practice in other areas of personal injury, including CTP, TPD/superannuation claims and public liability. You will be responsible for managing active matters with the guidance of Principal lawyers when required. The role is currently remote, with a view of adopting hybrid working arrangements in the future.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage the progression of personal injury claims through to settlement and also provide initial telephone advice to new potential clients. Duties will include:
- Manage personal injury matters through to settlement.
- Draft pleadings, submissions, and correspondence.
- Liaise with insurers, medical providers, and counsel to gather evidence and manage timelines.
- Conduct legal research and prepare matters for mediations and hearings.
- Maintain accurate file records and contribute to efficient team workflow.
- Deliver initial phone advice to potential clients and assess claim viability using your legal knowledge.
- Accurately document all enquiries in the client management system.
- Convert qualified leads into retained clients and active matters.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Admitted to practice as a Solicitor in NSW.
- 3+ years PAE working in plaintiff workers compensation – previous experience within the personal injury space is advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of workers compensation legislation and PIC procedures.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Time management with ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed monthly productivity targets.
- A genuine interest in client care and helping people.
