About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our team at Bridgestone Select Sandgate in Sandgate, Queensland. This full time role is an integral part of our mission to provide top-quality automotive services and repairs to our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
1. Conducting thorough diagnoses and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
2. Servicing and maintaining vehicles according to manufacturers' specifications
3. Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues
4. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
5. Test-drive vehicles to diagnose or verify repairs.
6. Documenting all work performed and maintaining detailed records
7. Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients
8. Staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and industry best practices
9. Complete vehicle details on requisition orders (Such as kilometres, engine number, registration numbers.
What we're looking for
1. Relevant trade qualifications and/or significant experience as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician
2. Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualifications
3. Current Australian driver’s licence
4. Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic techniques, and repair procedures
5.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues
6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
7. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of professionalism
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. A willingness to continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry developments
