Your Chance

Due to a large volume of work, Whittens are seeking applications from experienced Plant and Equipment Coordinators to join our operations team on the east coast. Based in Cooma NSW and reporting directly to the Plant Manager, as our east coast Plant and Equipment Coordinator you will be responsible for:

- All plant and equipment hire for our east coast projects
- Supplying quotes for plant and equipment to the project teams
- Monitoring and actioning rate increases by suppliers
- Keeping accurate records of plant and equipment hires including rates, attachments, on-hire and off-hire documentation
- Ordering parts and spares for the project mechanical team
- Keeping accurate utilisation reports
- Reconciling monthly invoices and raising purchase orders




- Liaising with Plant Hire personnel to coordinate on-hire and off-hire inspections
- Assisting with transport coordination of all plant and equipment when required
- Creating and managing Hire Agreements for all hired equipment

To be successful, you will have the following:

- Experience with plant and equipment hire in the construction/mining industry
- Mechanical background or knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance
- Experience in document management processes and practices
- Proficient use of the of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and other software such as Visio, Viewpoint and SharePoint
- Demonstrated administrative skills
- Construction Induction (White) Card
- ‘C’ class Driver’s license
