About the Opportunity
We’re seeking 2x Junior Underwriters to join a growing Brisbane team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your underwriting capability while working closely with experienced underwriters with significant experience and capabilities between them.
You'll be exposed to quoting, endorsements, schedules, rating models and a wide range of underwriting support functions. With traction increasing faster than expected, the team needs driven individuals who can hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process quotes, renewals, endorsements and policy changes
- Prepare underwriting documentation and schedules
- Assist in developing and maintaining rating models
- Manage inboxes, submissions and workflow items
- Support brokers with required information and follow-ups
- Ensure accuracy, compliance and quality control across all work
- Contribute to building a positive, collaborative team culture
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 yrs insurance experience (underwriting preferred but not required)
- Heavy Motor experience is an advantage, but commercial motor or broader packaged insurance experience is welcomed
- Open to candidates outside underwriting if coachable and motivated
- Keen, hungry and eager to grow within a fast-moving business
- Professional, friendly and a cultural asset to a small team
- Ability to handle mixed duties and assist where needed
