Your new role:
In this rotational role, you will deliver high-quality speech pathology services across adult caseloads in acute, subacute and outpatient settings, working within an interprofessional team and contributing to service improvement through:
- Detailed clinical assessment, patient education, intervention and management across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Managing a varied caseload using effective prioritisation, documentation and time-management strategies.
- Applying developing independent clinical judgement under guidance or supervision of senior clinicians.
- Participating in interprofessional case conferences, departmental meetings and consumer-focused care planning.
- Supporting clinical education through supervision of students and allied health assistants.
- Contributing to quality improvement, research and development of procedures and protocols.
About you:
You will be a motivated and developing clinician who values teamwork, person-centred care and continuous learning. You will bring:
- Demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based speech pathology assessment and management to adult patients across varied clinical settings.
- High-quality verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families and interprofessional team members.
- Commitment to professional development, active learning and maintaining mandatory competencies.
- Ability to participate in clinical education, including supporting students and less experienced staff.
- Capability or willingness to rapidly acquire skills in service development, research and quality improvement.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
