About Us - Who are we?
Bushland Health Group Limited is a long standing, community based, not for profit provider of residential aged care in the Manning Valley, on the mid north coast of NSW. We are the largest provider in the area and deliver best practice aged care to 271 residents at 3 facilities.
About the Role - What will you do?
- Assisting residents with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating
- Assisting residents with their mobility and communication needs
- Participating in planning the care of individuals
- Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems
- Observing and reporting changes in residents’ conditions, and reporting complaints about care
- Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications
- Providing direct support and assistance to therapists
- Ensuring residents have the prospect to make informed choices and decisions regarding their care and the services they receive
- Accurately document resident's current condition and care needs
- Maintain a clean and comfortable environment in the home
Skills and Experience - What do you need?
Essential skills:
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, or similar
- A genuine respect for the Aged
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal skills, and friendly demeanour
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a busy team environment
- Reliable, Flexible and proactive in your approach to work and dedication in providing exceptional care
- Computer skills
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Bushland Health Group Limited, NSWNA and HSU NSW Enterprise Agreement 2023
