About The Role

As a Trainee Crew Member, you will be at the heart of assisting in the operation of Central Coast Council Waste Facilities and ensuring that this is at a standard that meets Council’s social, economic and environmental objectives. This role is designed for those eager to learn and grow, providing you the opportunity to gain valuable skills while contributing to the community's needs.

Your responsibilities will include providing excellent customer focused waste management services, plan and deliver work tasks to meet assigned work plans, timeframes and budgets, work with appropriate tools, plants and equipment to complete duties, carry yourself in accordance with Work Health and Safety( (WHS), Relevant Policies and initiatives on worksite, and carry out programmed operational and maintenance work as directed by Crew Leader.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, honest and reliable individual who is ready to embrace the challenges of a dynamic work environment and contribute meaningfully to the team. Your attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as your qualifications.

Please note interviews will be held on Wednesday 10 December at our Buttonderry Waste Facility.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

- A sincere interest in the waste operation environment and desire to build a career in this field
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Show strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
- Ability to complete tasks to meet project schedules and deadlines
- Minimum education of Year 10 School Certificate or RoSA (Record of School Achievement)
- Ability to undertake training to obtain qualifications in the waste operation field

Other Important Information

- The salary range for these positions sit between $494 to $847 per week ($25.8K to $44.1K per annum)



dependent on age and school qualifications + 12% Superannuation
- This is a temporary full time role
- The role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- The role is located at Buttonderry Waste Facility
- The successful applicant will have the ability to complete training online
