About the role:
We are looking for permanent and casual Registered Nurses to join our Cardiology/Cardiothoracic ward, Kress 5. This 24-bed unit specialises in caring for cardiothoracic patients, including those recovering from heart and lung surgeries and other cardiac conditions. With a strong focus on patient-centred care, you'll play an essential role in supporting patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
As part of our supportive nursing team, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary group led by the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM). This role requires flexibility, with a rotating seven-day roster covering morning, afternoon, and night shifts. We offer comprehensive onboarding, continuous education, and ongoing support from a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to help you succeed and grow in your role.
Kress 5 is part of a larger cardiac care network that promotes collaboration and professional development across three specialised areas. This environment fosters continuous learning, teamwork, and is ideal for nurses passionate about cardiology and cardiothoracic care to develop their skills and deliver exceptional patient care.
What we are looking for:
- A caring Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and at least 2 years of post-grad experience
- Someone with a passion for Cardiology or Cardiothoracic nursing, ideally with 1 year or more in the specialty
- A curious learner excited to grow and develop new skills
- A confident and compassionate communicator who builds strong connections with patients, families, and teammates
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster that includes mornings, afternoons, and nights
