ICT Desktop and Infrastructure Team Leader | Permanent Opportunity | NSW Government

- Penrith Location – 5 days onsite role
- $130k per year + super
- Permanent opportunity

Primary Purpose of the Role:

Manage the Desktop and Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing ICT services across multiple sites. Provide leadership, technical expertise, and strategic direction to support business objectives and maintain service excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

- Lead and manage the Infrastructure and Desktop teams, fostering a positive and accountable team culture
- Drive delivery of ICT services aligned with business goals, KPIs, and ITIL frameworks
- Oversee development and management of work schedules,



resource planning, and performance tracking tools
- Provide leadership and mentoring to staff, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Manage stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation to ensure ICT alignment and service delivery excellence
- Contribute to system architecture, endpoint management, and technical design workshops
- Oversee vendor and supplier relationships to ensure quality outcomes and cost-effective solutions
- Lead incident management and problem resolution processes, ensuring minimal business disruption
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and IT policies across infrastructure and desktop operations
- Support cross-site operations, with flexibility to travel between locations as required

Essential Requirements:

- Proven leadership experience managing ICT support, infrastructure, and desktop teams
- Robust technical background across Office 365, Intune, SCCM, and Windows 11 Server (2019+)
- Demonstrated expertise in ITIL-based service delivery and use of ServiceNow for task management




- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of developing evidence-based solutions
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites
