About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Group Payables Manager to lead our Accounts Payable function and play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, compliance and process excellence across Bapcor’s diverse business network.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing Accounts Payable team.
- Standardise and centralise payables processes across the Group to improve cash flow and strengthen financial controls.
- Oversee system accuracy across multiple ERP environments and drive automation and digitisation initiatives.
- Develop and track AP performance metrics — including DPO, invoice cycle times and exception rates.
- Manage compliance with Payment Times Reporting Legislation and strengthen governance and fraud prevention controls.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, IT, Operations) to deliver process improvement and transformation projects.
About You
- Proven experience managing a large,
high-volume Accounts Payable function.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a diverse team.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
- Expertise in ERP systems and an understanding of Payment Times Reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated success in leading change, implementing new systems or standardising processes across a multi-site or multi-brand organisation.
- Robust communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
