About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Renovation Building Estimator and QBCC Licensed Low -Rise Building Supervisor to join our team at Built by Thomas' in Brisbane, QLD. This is a full time role that will play a crucial part in the success of our construction and renovation projects. As the Renovation Building Estimator and Supervisor, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and overseeing the execution of renovation work to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing detailed cost estimates for renovation projects, including materials, labour, and subcontractor requirements





- Reviewing project plans and specifications to identify potential issues or cost-saving opportunities

- Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimating

- Supervising renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction

- Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints

- Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards

- Providing regular updates to project managers and clients on the status of renovation projects

What we're looking for

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a building estimator or project supervisor in the construction industry, with a focus on renovation projects and home extensions.

- Must hold a Low Rise QBCC Supervisor's License

- Must have completed a Certificate 3 in Carpentry as a full time apprentice or equivalent.

- Excellent understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly





- Proficient in the use of estimating software and project management tools

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders

- Commitment to safety and a track record of ensuring projects are completed safely and in compliance with regulations

- Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
