Located inside USQ Ipswich campus, Bremer Medical Centre was established in 2010 and currently has experienced general practitioners, nurses and other allied health practitioners dedicated to the community’s health care needs.

About the role

Casual Medical Receptionist for our Medical Centre located in Ipswich – 15 to 30 hours per week.

This a great chance for someone who likes a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent customer skills. Key duties include but will not be limited to:

- Meet and great GP, Specialist & Allied Health patients (excellent customer service)

- Professional handling of phone enquiries for GP, Specialist & Allied Health patients

- Booking patient appointments and managing patient bookings

- New patient registration for GP, Specialist & Allied Health patients





- Process patient billing/receipting – Mixed Billing Practice

- Front office administration tasks

- Administrative support to our multi-disciplinary team

- Managing general enquiries and liaising closely with the Practice Manager and Doctors to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice.

- Scanning documents and filing as per practice policies

At times the position may require 5 days per week for holiday/sick relief.

About you

We are seeking an experienced General Practice Medical Receptionist who is flexible and a team player. To be successful, you will also demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- At least 1 year's experience in a similar position within a general practice – (preferred)

- Experience using Best Practice software.

- Friendly and professional telephone manner





- Possess a high level of organisational and administrative skill with exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to multitask and prioritise.

- Understands attention to detail.

- Able to work well within a close-knit team environment.

- Able to work under pressure.

- Understand the importance of patient confidentiality.

- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
