We’re looking for a digital storyteller who’s as comfortable wrangling a CMS as they are dreaming up creative campaigns! If you love crafting engaging content, know your way around HTML/CSS, and get a buzz from making websites and social channels shine, we want to hear from you.

North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands, and a bustling CBD.

The role

- Manage and enhance Council’s digital channels, including our website, e-newsletters,



and social media.
- Create high-quality content that is engaging, accessible, and tailored to our diverse audience.
- Plan and deliver innovative digital campaigns that lift engagement and build community connection.
- Use analytics and insights to continuously improve user experience and optimise content performance.
- Apply your technical skills in CMS, HTML/CSS, and SEO to ensure our platforms are accurate, accessible, and customer-focused.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Council, supporting teams to share their stories in creative and impactful ways.

We're looking for someone with

- Strong experience in digital communications, social media, and website management.
- Proven ability to use Google Analytics and social media (organic and paid) to deliver measurable outcomes.
- A solid understanding of accessibility (WCAG), user experience, and SEO best practice.
- Excellent writing skills, with an eye for detail and a flair for making content engaging and easy to understand.
- Technical know-how in CMS platforms and the ability to enhance websites using HTML/CSS.




- A collaborative spirit and the drive to keep pace with the evolving digital landscape.

Salary from:



$107,336 to $128,169 pa + 12% superannuation + $1,000 pa Transport allowance

35 hours per week with access to flexi time
