Position details:
Warrawee Care Centre is an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC/OOSH) that provides before and after school and vacation care for students from Kindy to Year 6. We are a parent managed not for profit service located within the grounds of Warrawee Public School.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Educational Leader to become an integral member of our team, to commence as soon as possible. There will be a hand over period with our current Ed Leader to ensure a smooth transition into the role. We have 2 dedicated OOSH rooms and our own outdoor areas filled with natural play spaces, equipment and resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
As our Educational Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in a supportive,
innovative leadership team. With your expertise in curriculum programming and mentorship, you’ll inspire educators and create exceptional learning environments where children thrive. You will mentor and provide collaboration leadership across the educators in the service supporting them to learn and grow alongside children.
In this leadership role, you will:
- Collaborate with the Centre Director and senior staff to bring meaningful and engaging programs to our children with a focus on outdoors play-based learning.
- Mentor and support educators across all year groups, helping them shine in their roles.
- Develop learning environments that spark creativity and curiosity.
- Ensure compliance with regulations while championing our Centre values.
- Support educators to write meaningful documentation of children’s learning and play.
- Confidently communicate with children, families, educators and school staff.
- Have adaptable work arrangements with a mix of split shifts, afternoons shifts and non-contact time for programming.
- Embed child safety programs,
policies and practices and foster positive child safe learning outcomes for every child in our care.
We’re looking for a passionate leader who embodies:
- A relevant qualification (or working towards) and previous experience in educational leadership or a leadership position in OOSH.
- A deep commitment to children’s learning development and safety.
- A passion for creating and implementing outstanding educational programs.
- A solid understanding of the NQF and MTOP curriculum.
- First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Training.
- A valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
