About this opportunity:
The Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre (MECC) is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and dependable Cleaner to join our team. This role involves performing cleaning duties in line with rostered schedules and operational requirements, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness across the precinct.
To thrive in this position, you’ll bring proven experience in commercial cleaning, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and flexibility to work on a rotating roster across any 5 out of 7 days, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- QLD “C” Class Driver Licence (or interstate equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning environments
- Proficiency in using commercial cleaning equipment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Adaptability to dynamic work environments
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
Working with Children Blue Card (Paid):
This role requires a valid QLD Blue Card prior to commencement, in accordance with the No Card, No Start policy. If you do not currently hold a Blue Card, we recommend beginning the application process when submitting your job application.
