Kogan People Solutions are working with the owners of this busy “c-store” located in the pleasant Gold Coast location, Carrara Qld, to secure their new Retail Manager. The up-to-date independent store is run by the local management team, including their Retail Store Manager. Open 7 days a week, mornings to evenings, the role is busy and eventful. You’ll enjoy working here!

This is a great opportunity for a keen retail professional to make their mark in an important and modern retail presence.

We’re looking for someone with the passion to really inspire and coach our team, with the skills and expertise to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales using a proactive approach and business acumen to ensure the business continues to hit the right note and then ensure the continued success of this retail site. The incumbent will be expected to work rotating shifts across a seven-day week.

**Responsibilities**
- Visual merchandising to achieve best possible sales outcome
- Developing strategies to deliver results and performance in store
- Identification of sales opportunities and enhanced ranging of SKUs
- Managing smooth and efficient running of store to ensure operational excellence
- Supervising and mentoring other retail staff
- Ensuring the provision of a superior level of customer service
- Ensuring a high level of stock control and mínimal stock loss and damage
- Wage and expense control of the store
- Cost control,



understanding of financial documents such as profit and loss statements.

**What we’re looking for**:

- At least 1 to 2, but preferably much more, years’ experience in a customer service retail environment at supervisory or management levels.
- Proven ability to organize, mentor and provide leadership to staff.
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus - possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal and work with a diverse range of customers.
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines
- High computer literacy in EFTPOS and register / POS systems.
- Ability to create, implement, manage and sell new product lines and promotions
- Easy going person comfortable with a locally owned business.
- Strong understanding of OH&S; requirements.




- Appropriate relevant post-secondary qualifications to at least Diploma level or equivalent.
- Unrestricted driver’s license
- **Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia.**
