Job Details:
- Base salary: $137,917 gross per annum + 12% Superannuation
- Outstanding work-life balance with a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off FIFO arrangement
- Pro-rata entitlement to the annual $10,000 Retention Allowance
- Salary Packaging benefits: up to $15,900 per annum + $2,650 for Meals & Entertainment
- Post-Graduate Qualification Allowance: $3,919 - $5,598 per annum
- All travel from your home to the community is provided
- Accommodation provided
Location:
You will be based in a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory,
(Arnhem Land) approximately 500 km from Darwin. The area is surrounded by spectacular natural landscapes including wetlands, rivers, and savannah woodlands. It’s a vital cultural and economic hub for the region, home to a vibrant Indigenous population.
The Position:
- Work Hours during Working Weeks: 70 hours/fortnight scheduled as first, 70 hours/fortnight as second
- Afterhours Program hours: 9 pm – 8 am with 1 hour unpaid break (10 work hours)
As the Afterhours RAN, you will provide the local community with access to medical advice, health assessments, and emergency care during non-clinic hours (9pm to 8am). This is a forward-thinking service working to reshape the standard afterhours model in remote healthcare. Rather than being limited to emergency-only care, this role allows for proactive, client-centred afterhours services—giving you the opportunity to be part of an innovative and impactful pilot program. This is a FIFO position offering a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, based in a remote community in the Northern Territory.
To be eligible you must have:
- Current AHPRA registration (unrestricted)
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in Primary Health in a remote context
- Remote Nursing experience essential
- Triage Certificate
- Up-to-date competencies including:
- Current BLS (within 1 year)
- ALS (within 2 years)
- REC (or equivalent)
