Job Title: Disability Support Worker (Support and Outreach Coordinator) Illawarra Region
The Disability Support Worker (Support and Outreach Coordinator) will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support services while fostering community engagement and service promotion within the Illawarra region. This position combines direct support work with outreach responsibilities to ensure NDC’s mission is represented and actively promoted.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing short-term accommodation services to clients as needed.
Delivering in-home support services, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of clients.
Assisting with travel, community participation, and group/centre-based activities.
Outreach and Marketing:
Engaging in localised marketing activities to promote NDC’s services within the Illawarra community.
Building and maintaining relationships with local businesses and community organizations to raise awareness of services.
Utilizing social media platforms to increase visibility, engage with the community, and promote services.
Community Engagement:
Combining support work with outreach activities to enhance community engagement and raise awareness of NDC services.
Working closely with a growing and innovative team to ensure the successful delivery of support and outreach initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Outgoing, positive, and resourceful attitude with a strong commitment to community engagement and support.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous experience as an NDIS Support Worker or in a similar support and outreach role.
Must have the following certifications and qualifications:
Working With Children Check (WWCC)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and vehicle registration
NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
This role is essential for ensuring the highest level of service delivery while promoting and expanding NDC’s reach and impact in the local community.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $38.08 per hour
Expected hours: 6 - 12.5 per week
