A Day in the Life
An exciting Product Manager opportunity awaits you to join our inclusive and collaborative Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) team at Medtronic, recognized as a Great Place to Work in Australia. In this highly visible role, working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business/marketing plans including strategies for product marketing activities and managing budgets to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
for the Midas Rex portfolio.
Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) is the market leader in spinal implants, robotics, navigation and drills. We are redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients. We are the first company to offer an integrated solution that includes artificial intelligence-driven surgical planning, personalized spinal implants, and robotic-assisted surgical delivery to make patient care more customized.
In your role as Product Manager, you will lead a portfolio of market-leading neurosurgical products during a very exciting time in the product life cycle.
This is a 12-month maternity leave contract role based in our ANZ Head Office in Macquarie Park. It is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Product Manager marketing talent looking to step up to a Product Manager role. Joining a supportive, close-knit Marketing team with complementary product portfolios, we look forward to helping you grow your career at Medtronic.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Direct the marketing activities for the achievement of short-term and long-term business objectives, including revenue and market share growth targets.- Develop marketing strategies and tactics within context of the overall Organizational Unit strategy, addressing issues such as: entry; distribution; product/model/indication mix; market and account segmentation.- Identify current and future market needs and understand direct and indirect competition- Be the key driver for launching new devices, line-extensions and therapies/indications- Work proactively and directly with the Regional Sales Managers and Territory Managers to identify account specific marketing needs to achieve account development objectives.- Leverage skills,
therapy understanding and belief in market development concepts and opportunities through the sales force using effective coaching techniques.- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective and current customers to achieve growth objectives- Work closely with Regulatory teams to bring products to market in an efficient manner and ensuring compliance with TGA requirements.- Maintain necessary contact with US operational unit personnel, patient groups, industry associations and government representatives to achieve the business objectives.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in creating and implementing marketing plans.- Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software- Proven ability to plan, organize,
monitor and conclude a project- Ability to build strong customer relationships throughout a customer organisation, at all levels- Required to travel up to 25%, valid driver’s licence required.
