Year Level Coordinator
As the School’s educational offering broadens in 2026,
our provision of an exemplary education for girls will extend to Years 5 and 6 students. Girls Grammar’s Junior School will provide a rigorous and inspiring model for upper primary-aged girls, providing high-quality, enriching experiential learning opportunities.
We have one full-time Year Level Coordinator position available and invite applications from highly qualified primary school educators with experience in coordinating Year 5 and 6 programs. The Year Level Coordinator will join BGGS in Term 4 2025 (or sooner, depending on availability).
As the Year Level Coordinator, your expertise in building genuine relationships and fostering collaborative practices will be crucial in shaping the School’s culture, programs, and procedures at the Year Level. You will also serve as an essential conduit between parents and the Junior School.
This pivotal role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including:
- Implementation of teaching, learning and assessment practices
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the Junior School Student Care Program Framework
- Developing systems and protocols to ensure students meet the School’s standards regarding behaviour, attendance, and uniforms
- Monitoring the progress and development of year level students, both individually and as a cohort, with a strong focus on positive choices and behaviour, organisation strategies to support academic and daily organisation, and homework routines
- Organising, planning and coordinating Year Level specific transition and onboarding events
- Organising, planning and coordinating Year Level student activities, excursions/incursions, Year Level activities at the School’s Open day, and Sports and Co-curricular activities.
