We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Business Partner, Gas West to join our People Safety and Culture team in Perth CBD office on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Head of HS Operations & Corporate, the Health & Safety Business Partner, Gas West will act as the conduit between the central Health & Safety team and APA Gas West division,



partnering closely with the leadership team to provide strategic guidance and drive health and safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with the business to ensure compliance to Safeguard and identification and analysis of business risks

- Provide informed support to leaders on the implementation of the HSEH strategy and assists in review and ongoing continuous improvement of the HSEH strategy

- Coach and advise business leaders on health and safety matters to improve leadership and empowerment

- Steer and challenge the development of business cases, submission of planning information (long and short) and monthly/annual business performance in an HSEH context

- Deliver tailored line 1 and 2 assurance programs and present results quarterly

- Interpret HSEH information (from assurance, investigation, leading and lagging metrics, industry forums, contractor information) and provide insights to the business for action

Your background:

- Extensive experience as a health and safety professional within high-risk industries, with experience in the gas sector highly regarded

- Strong knowledge of HSEH legislation, standards,



and risk management practices relevant to complex operational environments

- Proven ability to lead and influence health and safety culture change across diverse operational teams and leadership groups

- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical safety concepts clearly and building trust with stakeholders at all levels

- Skilled in interpreting health and safety data and assurance findings to drive practical, actionable improvements

- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable, with a strong focus on delivering strategic safety outcomes in a dynamic business environment
