Policy Manager
This Peak Body based in the inner north, is currently seeking a Policy Manager to develop counselling and psychotherapy policies, lead accredited courses, plan and coordinate professional development of the team, and provide advice on health policy across Australia and Internationally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career and really make this position their own.
The Opportunity:
Monitor policy development across the portfolio
Advise on accreditation and certification projects
Research, consult and write on a range of policy issues
Act as a key contact for organisations seeking accreditation
Provide timely policy and project advice and organisational support
Oversee the development of an annual plan for professional development
Advise the CEO on counselling and psychotherapy in relation to contemporary and emerging practice and policy
Produce reports on practice and accreditation matters as required by CEO
Support the CEO with special projects as required
About You:
Experience in or exposure to accreditation, professional development, policy or certification
Interest in Counselling, Allied Health, Psychotherapy
Demonstrated experience in writing complex documents and in refining complex ideas for a general audience
Understanding or appreciation of counselling or psychotherapy,
or in a similar broad practice-related role working with clinicians
Good understanding of concepts of safety and quality in healthcare
Experience as a team manager and in developing a team
Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
