About the Role
Our client is a global Technology & Cloud Infrastructure host in a Data Centre environment. We are seeking professional and high-performing security officers. Successful applicants will ensure the integrity of client data is maintained at all times, delivering services aligned with Securitas’ core values.
The primary responsibilities include security screening to control access and egress of authorized personnel and equipment.
- Full-Time Role: Rotational roster (Days & Nights)
- Location: Port Melbourne, VIC
Key Duties
- Conduct security screening of personnel entering and exiting restricted areas
- Monitor alarms and security systems, including Class 5 alarms, portal resets,
and duress alarms
- Respond to alarms, investigate incidents, and provide first aid when necessary
- Manage keys, access control, and visitor systems
- Identify and prevent prohibited items from entering or leaving restricted areas
- Complete shift reports and handover tasks to supervisors
- Perform physical and virtual patrols, report hazards and incidents

Skills and Experience
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Valid Security License in the respective State (Class 1A or equivalent)
- AGSVA Baseline / NV1 clearance
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Customer service experience and multi-tasking abilities
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills, intermediate PC skills (MS Office)
- Excellent customer service, greeting visitors and assisting as needed
- Compliance with policies and procedures
- Protection of premises and property
- Report writing, patrol duties, and radio communication experience
- Punctuality, responsibility, and leadership qualities
