The National Business Manager at SPC is a key leadership role within the SPC sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of strategic accounts, with a primary focus on Woolworths. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional capable of leading a team, developing robust sales strategies, and ensuring the successful execution of joint category plans. We are also looking for someone that can help build the culture and build collaborative customer and internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Account Management
- Take full accountability for Coles and Aldi accounts.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within these accounts.
- Own the sales delivery versus budget, implementing strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Manage and lead a team of sales professional including a National Account Manager and Vendor Replenishment Planner.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure individual and team performance aligns with organisational goals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Joint Category Planning
- Drive the development and execution of joint category plans in collaboration with key accounts.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives, market trends, and customer expectations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring category plans to fruition.
Activation and Ranging
- Oversee the implementation of planned activation strategies for promotions and marketing initiatives.
- Manage product ranging to maximize visibility and availability within designated accounts.
Budget Management
- Effectively manage and allocate resources to stay within budget constraints.
- Monitor and analyse spend management, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
Performance Analysis
- Conduct regular performance reviews and analyses to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven success managing Tier A National P&C; accounts within a medium to large FMCG environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop channel strategy, win ranging, and lead breakthrough innovation in both core and new categories.
- Strong track record in account management, promotional planning, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience in building and leading teams, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and deliver results through others.
- High energy, driven, and performance-focused with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
