Are you an experienced Chipper Operators looking for a rewarding role in a growing industry? Join our dedicated vegetation management team and play a vital part in maintaining safe electrical networks across Victoria.
We are looking to grow the team in Wodonga and Wangaratta area and surrounds with individuals who have a can-do attitude. We offer secure permanent roles, well above award rates with plenty of opportunity for career development.
What is the role? Key responsibility of this role is to assist in the maintenance of vegetation near electrical lines this includes pruning, removing and clearing debris from worksites through the safe operation of both the EWP and chipper units.You will rotate throughout the day between duties such as:




EWP operation to trim and remove vegetation in compliance with electrical clearance regulations Act as a Safety Observer Site Clean-upclearing and chipping vegetation Ground line cutting and tree removals Work closely with the supervisor and crews to ensure efficient, safe job execution This is hands-on, physical work in a team that supports each other and values a strong safety culture.
What you will need: ESI cert II (highly desirable) White Card Chainsaw ticket MR or HR Truck License (or ability to obtain in first 6 months) Cert II or III in Arboriculture (preferred) Willingness to travel and live away from home for up to 2 weeks required Previous tree work experience (highly regarded) Why choose Active: Competitive hourly rates +super Rostered Day Off Full time Permanent role All PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and uniforms provided Access to innovative technology and machinery Assistance in attaining in-demand licenses (Elevated Work Platform License, Chainsaw ticket, Chipper ticket, Traffic control and First aid)
