**Join the Neonatal Unit as a Ward Clerk!**
**About the role**:
Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager in the Neonatal Unit, as the Ward Clerk, your role will provide a customer-focused reception service for patients, families and other consumers; provide best-practice administrative services to ensure efficient and effective day to day management. Duties will include:
- Ensuring that requests of the patient's family re visitors are adhered to,
- Answering all incoming telephone calls and dealing with routine patient enquiries - using judgement in conveying appropriate information,
- Maintaining records/statistics pertinent to each area and identifying systems that require improvement,
- Communicating relevant patient management information obtained from other departments promptly to the NUM/Ward Coordinator.
**About you**:
- Ability to communicate with a range of patients, the public, visitors and staff in an efficient and courteous manner,
- Ability to work under general direction,
- General experience in clerical and/or receptionist duties,
- Experience in using information systems and data entry.
