**Join the team**
Due to an internal promotion, we now have an immediate vacancy for a National Manager, Injury and Wellbeing to join our Safety team at Kmart's National Office in Mulgrave. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, this is a key leadership role which will design and deliver the Injury and Wellbeing strategy for Kmart Stores, Distribution Centres and National Office teams.
**What you'll be doing**
As a
**National Manager for Injury and Wellbeing **at Kmart, you will:
- Design and execute the Injury and Wellbeing strategy that drives continuous improvement and best practice standards for Kmart employees.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders to understand and work towards achieving Health and Safety strategic outcomes.
- Ensure workers compensation premiums and costs are diligently managed through effective claims management process and ongoing reviews.
- Directly manage teams involved in Return-to-Work management procedures and Early Intervention programmes including all Injury and Wellbeing Advisors based across all States.
- Oversee incident and injury reporting submissions to ensure data integrity.
- Lead and report on injury trend analysis for both lead and lag indicators to ensure an evidence-based approach to continuous improvement.
- Continue to build safety and injury prevention knowledge of all team members.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement programs.
**To be successful in this role you'll have**
- 5-7 years' experience working in a similar role in a mid-large scale organisation.
- A background in allied health.
- Expert knowledge and experience in the interpretation and implementation of health and wellbeing policies and legislation.
- Extensive exposure to injury management, workers compensation claims and the self-insurance environment.
- Demonstrated experience in building and delivering a wellbeing strategy.
- A comprehensive knowledge of WHS related legislations across Australia and New Zealand.
- Demonstrated experience in managing direct and indirect teams and have the ability to work across multi-site projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build stakeholder relationships and influence through collaboration, negotiation, and resolution skills.
