**About the role**:
The Payroll Manager will manage the payroll function of over 1,300 employees across different entities and various locations in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Key responsibilities:
**Key responsibilities**:
- Supervise and assist the Payroll and Senior Payroll Officers with all aspects of their role
- Process all pay related journals and manage all pay related clearing accounts
- Ensure all pay related inter-company recharges are accurate and processed
- Balance the accounting system to the payroll systems
- Preparation and payment of all pay related taxation, superannuation and workers compensation premiums
- Manage all payroll processes and legislative requirements
- Answer and resolve escalated queries relating to payroll across the region
**About you**:
- Extensive proven experience in Chris21 is mandatory
- Substantial payroll and team leadership experience in a large multinational company
- Understanding of Australian and Pacific's IR, payroll and Workers Compensation/OH&S; legislative requirements are considered desirable
- High level of computer literacy Excel and other Microsoft office products. Kronos experience would be an advantage
- Prior team management and coaching
- Working understanding of payroll accounting and numerical accuracy
- Professional verbal and written communication
