Sales Manager, Vacuum Automation - New South Wales
**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
- **Strategic Territory Development**:Craft and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy, focusing on balancing and expanding our presence across all product lines and sales channels. Your goal is to increase the Schmalz brand's market share and visibility within the assigned territory.
- **Expert Prospecting**:Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities, demonstrating exceptional prospecting skills to penetrate target accounts and widen our customer base.
- **Brand and Product Advocacy**:Serve as a key ambassador for the Schmalz brand, providing our distribution partners and direct accounts with in-depth knowledge of our latest products and innovations. Elevate the Schmalz brand as the premier global leader in material handling technology.
- **Insightful Market Analysis**:Continuously gather and analyze market intelligence regarding customers' evolving needs and industry trends. Relay critical insights to our Melbourne based engineering team to inform for future product development and strategy.
- **Engagement and Collaboration**:Maintain frequent communication with all stakeholders, including distributor partners, customers, engineering, and sales management, ensuring aligned and cohesive sales efforts.
- **Active Field Presence**:Commit to being in the field with customers and partners for at least four days per week,
with a focus on building and strengthening relationships.
- **Industry Participation**: Represent Schmalz at industry trade shows, customer events, and open houses to enhance brand visibility and engage with potential and existing customers.
- **Administrative Excellence**:Ensure timely completion of all administrative duties, including month-end reporting and CRM updates.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in automation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technology and sales channels within the industry.
- Proven ability to think strategically and execute projects effectively.
- Flexibility for frequent travel, sometimes with little notice.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Proficient in using both ERP and CRM systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with material handling technologies and the sectors we serve (preferred).
