In the newly created role of Operations Manager – Care Services you’ll drive excellence across Care Partner services, guiding and empowering high-performing teams to deliver quality, person-centred customer and organisational outcomes. With a focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, you’ll play a pivotal role in the achievement of Suncare’s vision.
This unique leadership opportunity is available on a permanent full-time basis, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements that include working at our Suncare Maroochydore or North Lakes office, and from home. You will also enjoy meeting your regional teams when you partake in planned travel between Brisbane and Rockhampton offices.
More about the role
Reporting to the General Manager – Care Services, you will:
- Lead and support multi-site Care Partner Team Leaders and their teams to deliver safe, person-centred care while driving performance, workforce efficiency,
and customer satisfaction in Suncare’s delivery of the Support at Home program
- Coach and mentor teams to build future capability, promote accountability and resilience, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with Suncare’s values
- Respond to customer concerns , ensuring thorough enquiry, resolution and reporting through appropriate channels and guiding frontline staff to support customers in accessing advocacy services
- Drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives , using data and feedback to enhance service access, delivery, and outcomes
- Monitor and report operational performance and budget outcomes to senior leadership, identifying risks, opportunities, and innovations in care delivery
- Contribute to workforce planning and development ,
including modernise models of care delivery and career pathways in partnership with the People & Culture team
- Ensure regulatory compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and uphold clinical governance framework requirements, policies, and procedures across service operations
What you will bring to our team
In addition to your shared passion for achieving our vision of being a leader in customer experience, an employer of choice and delivering genuine connections and excellence in community aged care services, you will possess:
- Relevant qualification in Management, Social, Community or Human Services and / or significant relevant industry experience at a leadership level
- Strong industry knowledge of government funding, guidelines, legislation, and aged care sector reforms
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams to achieve organisation goals
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate and negotiate effectively with varied stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to lead in crisis situations
- Resilience, be self-directed and highly organised to work autonomously, under pressure and hold oneself accountable to achieve targets and deadlines
- High-level computer literacy and confidence working with Microsoft Office and databases
- A current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use own insured vehicle for work purposes, and travel as required to our regional offices.
