Retail Operations Manager
Wide Open Road Coffee Roasters have been roasting and brewing out of Brunswick since 2009. With an eye towards quality and ethical coffee, the company has built a strong culture based around community and creativity. The 2019 expansion into Byron Bay has fostered a new vision for growth.
We are seeking an agile and experienced hospitality professional, responsible for all things customer facing, including our venues and e-commerce. You have an understanding of business acumen, growth, HR, leadership and content tone.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the operations of the venues with direct reports from Venue Managers
- Managing HR alongside venue managers
- Development and execution of training plans for new and existing staff
- Budgets and financial planning for retail spaces
- Focus on merchandising and strategising for retail products in physical and e-commerce platforms
- Curation of customer experience online
- Participate in brand communications including EDM's, collaborations and relevant opportunities for brand development
- e-commerce customer support
- Social media and marketing coordination
- Upholding and representing company values; develop within the team while leading by example
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Passion for working with people on a day to day basis, and in a small business with a focus on detail and a "can do" approach
- Proven experience in managing and engaging teams across multiple locations
- Understanding of e-commerce analytics and growth strategies
- Strong experience in managing budgets and productivity
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in hospitality/coffee industry, and an enthusiasm for delicious, sustainably sourced coffee
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships with industry, clients and staff in an enthusiastic and professional manner.
- Hunger for business development on the B2C axis, we're looking to grow our brand representation in Australia.
