Asthma Foundation of WA Inc (T/A Respiratory Care WA) helps bridge the gap between hospital and community care with personalised, free education, advice and support for the many Western Australians living with asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and other chronic respiratory conditions.

We're all about helping people with respiratory conditions live a better life. Our three-year strategy is focused on continuing to deliver services and programs that meet unmet needs in the community to expand our 5,000 annual occasions of service to Western Australians.

As a Respiratory Technician, you will provide best practice lung function testing for consumers, both in our satellite lung function clinics and community outreach.





**About the role**

This exciting opportunity will report directly to the Service Delivery Manager, ensuring high quality education and service delivery to our clients.

Working alongside a highly experienced and dedicated health services team, you will be involved in individual and group education, development, delivery and evaluation of a variety of services, and upskilling health professionals.

**Key accountabilities**
- Operate and maintain equipment used in diagnosing and monitoring breathing disorders and disorders of the lungs.
- Delivery of a comprehensive LFT across all clinics
- Deliver evidence-based respiratory lung function testing, education and advice to a range of stakeholders
- Provide input into the implementation and evaluation of lung function testing services, alongside the Service Delivery Manager

**Essential Criteria**
- Registered Nurse or qualified allied health professional
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and knowledge of respiratory conditions, especially asthma and COPD




- Well-developed written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Experience providing spirometry and other lung function tests, or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of or experience in the Not For Profit sector and health service delivery
- Ability to make and maintain stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
- Computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office, and experience using Record Management systems
- Current C Class driver's license and access to a reliable motor vehicle?
- Must be a non-smoker (includes vaping)

Pay:



$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
