Raging Waters Sydney - Aquatic Assistant
About the role:
Aquatic Assistants are to assist with providing exceptional guest service and professionalism whilst assisting the aquatics team.
NO EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED. ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM 16 YEARS PLUS
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Positive interactions with guests to ensure that they receive quality service
- Tactfully dealing with guests who do not meet ride restrictions
- Provide a safe and fun environment for guests
- Assist with Half pipe safety position
- Enforce Keep Watch Guidelines with guests
- Assist with Queue lines
- Assist with Raging Xpress Queue service including queue lines, marshalling and redemption
- Assist with attraction equipment such as tube inflation or placing tubes into queue lines
- To know and enforce all Raging Waters Sydney policies relating to service delivery
- To adhere to Ellis & Associates Standards and Guidelines
- Recognise problems and make decisions to help resolve the problem. Effectively communicate serious nature problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Report any faults that arise during the day. Monitor equipment for any failure and maintenance required
- To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Team Leaders, Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager or member of the Management Team
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
- Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment
- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
- Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
- Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
- Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.

- Current Working with Children Check
Desirable
- Ellis & Associates Health Care Provider Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
- Attractions Essentials Training (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
Languages: Fluent English
**Skills**:
- Ability to lead by example.
- Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.
- Familiar with the principles of quality customer service.
- Skills in the handling of various equipment.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work, both on an individual and team basis, within a set timetable and in a team environment of change and competing demands.
- Be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to embrace change in an environment of resource constraint.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Team member benefits:
This is a casual position until April, with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays during the season.
The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award. Team Members aged 20 years or older, are paid at a Grade 2 hourly rate of $28.46 per hour (includes casual loading).-
