Wonderful opportunity within our Arts and Culture team
Lead the development of innovative events and programs for our community
$96,365 - $104,848 (plus Super and RDO)
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Community & Cultural Programming, this role will be responsible for investigating, developing and implementing a range of innovative community programs, events and services which enhance the Boroondara community's involvement and access to quality arts and cultural experiences.
A little bit about the role
The role will have the scope to identify, plan, manage and deliver quality community cultural development projects which will involve:
The effective programming and delivery of annual and seasonal community programs,



events and services, in support of the Boroondara Community, including the Boroondara Eisteddfod, outdoor summer programs and other community events.
Engaging local creative groups and community members in the development and delivery of cultural development organisations.
Identifying funding opportunities and maintaining the Arts and Culture portfolio of community grants for creative arts groups, festivals and events and individuals.
Within the broader team, you will actively participate and contribute to a co-operative, positive and motivated Arts and Culture department by collaborating on team projects in the planning and delivery of programs and services. You will be required to engage with other departments, working groups, community stakeholders and like-minded organisations to identify and respond to community needs for cultural programs.

**The successful incumbent will also have**:
Demonstrated experience in managing, developing and delivering complex arts programs and events.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating a comprehensive music competition such as an Eisteddfod.
Experience in engaging the community in the planning and delivery of community arts and cultural programs.
The ability to prepare and monitor annual budgets.
Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills.
Employment Requirements
A tertiary qualification in Music, Arts, Events or Arts Management or equivalent (preferred).




Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
Current Victorian Driver's licence
