Job Summary:
Autumn Rooms Cafe - Darby St is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, providing vital support across all aspects of food preparation and service.
Your broad culinary expertise will help ensure the seamless execution of both daily café service and our bespoke function packages, including bottomless brunches, corporate events, and evening offerings. Fine dining experience is highly valued as we strive to deliver an elevated, memorable experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and elegantly present dishes for café service as well as bespoke function packages (bottomless brunches, evening events, corporate occasions)
- Ensure consistency, high quality, attention to detail, and creativity in every dish
- Liaise with the Head Chef and function coordinators to help create and deliver tailored menus for special events, including dietary and allergy considerations
- Assist in menu development, contributing refined ideas that blend café classics with elements of fine dining
- Maintain open and efficient communication with front-of-house and events teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Uphold strict standards of food hygiene, safety regulations, and cleanliness
- Monitor stock levels within your section and work with the team to ensure waste is minimized and supplies ordered as needed
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, modelling professionalism, excellence,
and a passion for the culinary arts
- Help maintain, clean, and properly use kitchen equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-quality café, brasserie, or fine dining restaurant
- Culinary qualification or equivalent training is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver elevated, beautifully presented dishes under time constraints
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- Creativity, eye for detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
