An exciting opportunity exists for a **Technician Officer Grade 1 **to join the **Intensive Care Unit **at **Wollongong Hospital**.

**What you'll be doing**

The incumbent of this position provides assistance, and supports the staff of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) by ensuring all the equipment within ICU is maintained and ready for use in coordination with Hospital Biomedical Engineers.



The position holder ensures stores are routinely ordered and stock levels are maintained in an efficient and resourceful manner as well as maintaining the ordering databases so they are kept up to date and the department is resourced appropriately at all times.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

**Selection Criteria**:





- Demonstrated experience working within an acute healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management skills.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required.
- Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety and of quality systems.
- Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to ISLHD Core Values.
